DCA only fails if the market NEVER recovers. In your situation with WW3 and all companies "toasted" and stocks never recover... well then I'd imagine money will become useless. That's doomsday scenario. In any other scenario DCA is the way to go. And heck, if doomsday happens I doubt my savings will be a priority then anyway.

If Dr. Burry is right, even without WW3, the stock markets will not recover in our life time.

"IF" WW3 breaks out, society is doomed.  Definitely going to the dark ages, at that I doubt money and today's financial system will matter.  Just basic survival mode.  
Let's hope not.

Agreed. Buy when others panic sell is the way. The only thing is nobody can really predict where the bottom is - if anyone can predict those sorts of things they'd be rich. So again it's why dollar cost averaging is a good strategy.

China delayed releasing it's economic data.  I wonder if it's that bad to not shock the system.... next few days will be very interesting.

No surprise, Japan economy has been in downward spirals for last few decades. Its GDP per capita will be surpassed by S. Korea in a few years.
