Why so many people mentioned Q5?? He is choosing between A5 and S5. Q5 is a totally different thing.

If money is no object, I would always go for the S-Line from Audi or even the RS-Line.. and I don't mean the S-line package.  The S (or RS) versions for that matter have different engines, engine mapping, drive modes and tuning.  Specificaly on the S5, it has a different engine and also drive select options are different.. its simply a higher powered car.  If you like the feel of speed and accerlation and gas prices AND the cost of the car is no concern.. get the S5.

Having said that.. it sould like you have driven the C300 and the 330i... like Audi..
MB has C350/C43 AMG/A63(s) AMG and
BMW has 340i/M340i/M3

if you have been used to the C300 or 330i, and you are completely happy with the way it revs, drives and handles.. then I would go the the A5 instead...

Now on the Q5/SQ5 -- it is also a completely different car... one has a 2.0T (4 cycl) the other has a 3.0T (6 cycl) engine.. Again.. engine, engine program/mapping, drive mode select are all different... if you are into driving a car with faster pick up.. do the SQ5.. if you are just doing your daily groceries haul.. then go with the Q5...

If you really wish to go for a Euro car, it should be MB. or stay with Toyota, Honda for the value.

Between the two, S5 would be my choice as it's more of a driver's car, better tuned and designed for joy of driving.

Q5 is a totally different beast, like comparing apples to oranges.  Q5 is a SUV more a luxury utility vehicle, S5 is a luxury drivers car, emphasis on being sporty both looks and performance.
