日本和德国的牌子如果做电车会不会有后发优势，超越现有的tesla？

目前看国内的电车发展的是如火如荼。但毕竟造车的老牌还是德国和日本。

特斯拉不只是电车，主要是自动驾驶那块也很厉害。感觉甩其他车厂好远

honda just announced giving up on fuel cell cars, so japan's bet fell through, they will have to catch up in EV (not just those hybrids). I personally think china will be a dominant player along with US, both countries have enough money, super aggressive companies, internal market to scale first and push internationally.

Japan/Germany will still be around, but I think their overall marketshare from ICE to EV drops, perhaps significantly. At least from the current trend, but who knows, it's long game we're still in first few steps.

個人喜歡Tesla的電🚗，但是耐用性Lexus可能可靠一點，畢竟常常recall 真的很煩！

比较看好中国电车品牌，政府大力扶持，电池技术越来越成熟。特斯拉只是自动驾驶做得好

EV 最终在2条战线上 compete，价格上看电池成本，功能上看自动驾驶。

同意中国 EV 品牌，未来会有很大发展空间。只要在价格上保持竞争力，功能上日新月异就好！

Just do a research on the number of related patents from Japan, Germany, and the US. You will then have the answer.
