technically speaking.. the posted limit is the speed limit (DUH!!!)
But when a police catches you, there usually are a lot of factors considered... 1) are you weaving out of traffic? 2) are you going faster than the flow of traffic? 3) are you significantly higher than the posted limit?
For example, if you are driving on a crowded street, changing lanes and trying to pull ahead, and 15-20Km over posted limit. You bet you will get pulled over.
But if everyone is doing 65/70 on a 60km/h, chances are you won't get pulled over.
Also, if its a 60km/h zone, and everyone WAS doing 65/70KM/h and ALL of them tried to slow down seeing the police.. and YOU are the only jackass that keeps at 70km/h, then you bet you ass you will get pulled over... FOR BEING A JACKASS....
Frankly speaking, a police doesn't want to stop you as much as you want to be stopped. Unless you are doing something overly dangerous, s/he won't try to stop you. |
