1. Singles day, created in China to get people to buy crazy for the GF , as China really had nothing special before Lunar New Year to get people to BUY BUY BUY.
2. BF day, day after US Thanksgiving (always last Thursday of November) to start the Xmas shopping going. Long line ups outside stores and door busters galore. I still got items I bought on IMPULSE I did not even know where I put in, box NOT OPENED. Point is to get you to BUY BUY BUY. Try to get you into the store to buy on impulse big time.
3. BOXING day, day after Xmas in Canada (think originally from England) to supposedly pack left over food for the poor. But now very logically to CLEAR out left over merchandise so stores will not need to stock them for ANOTHER year. Sort of like inventory clear out. SO not unlikely to find hot items from holiday sales before.
BUT with online shopping, every day is one of the above day when item is ON SALE, hopefully with a big discount. |
