如果你独自驾舟环绕世界旅行，如果你只能带一样东西供自己娱乐，你会选择哪一样？一幅美丽的图画，一本有趣的书，一盒扑克牌，一个百音盒，还是一只口琴……

　　似乎很难作出选择。

　　如果你问我，我会毫不犹豫地回答：“我会选择一本书。”

　　一本书！我听到有人感叹了：如果你坐船周游世界，这一趟下来，你可以把它读上一百遍，最终你能背诵下来。

　　对此，我回答是：是的，我愿意读上一百遍，我愿意读到背诵的程度。这有什么关系呢？你不会因为以前见过你的朋友就不愿再见到他们了吧？你不会因为熟悉家中的一切就弃家而去吧？你喜爱书就像一个朋友，就像你的家。你已经见过朋友一百次了，可第一百零一次再见面时，你还会说：“真想不到你懂这个！”你每天都回家，可不管过了多少年，你还会说：“我怎么没注意过，灯光照着那个角落，光线怎么那么美！”

　　你总能从一本书中发现新东西，不管你看过多少遍。

　　所以，我愿意坐在自己的船里，一遍又一遍地读那本书。首先我会思考，故事中的人为什么这样做，作家为什么要写这个故事。然后，我会在脑子里继续把这个故事编下去，回过头来品味我最欣赏的一些片断，并问问自己为什么喜欢它们。我还会再读其他部分，并从中找到我以前忽略的东西。做完这些，我会把从书中学到的东西列个单子。最后，我会想象作者是什么样的，他会有怎样的生活经历……这真像与另一个人同船而行。

　　一本你喜爱的书就是一位朋友，也是一处你随时想去就去的故地。从某种意义上说，它是你自己的东西，因为世上没有两个人会用同一种方式读同一本书。

有网络后，看书少 了很多很多，怀念从前那个只有书没有网的年代呀.
在八楼的那个郑裕彤东亚图书馆我渡过了四年非常美好的时光.  那个时候除了上课，泡妞，其他的时间都在那里渡过. 什么书都看. 怎么现在想起，好像是上辈子的事一样.

At least you indulged in reading and focusing on learning hard copy books.

Not anymore,  one can use Khan Academy on web to learn for free, with support from Bill Gates and others.

The suggested mode of learning is you study from Khan videos, then go to classroom to discuss with your teacher.  Rather than teachers taught you and you go home to learn what teacher just told you.

三人行必有我师  There is actually a saying by confucious that , if you find two people walking ahead of you , two of them are both your teachers
