You should have seen the first J car to patronize HK.
The body was so thin that when you sneeze, you dent the body work. (A little exaggeration here, but literally true!)
The paint and anti-rust were so bad that the body rusted quickly within 2 years.
You would hear metal banging sound when doors were being closed.
Use the above as a yardstick, K cars are technically 2 decades ahead of J cars when they first started to export to international markets!
I loved Hyandai a few years ago, then Subaru, and now CIVIC with all the safety gadgets, especially Brake hold, not sure if Suburu got it. But no Cross traffic warning like Subaru and no folding mirrows like other luxury brands. Think Mercede got self parking too (not useful unless in NYC or DT TO parallel parking.)
Lol 2015 japanese car quality are better than korean. I used to have a hyundai genesis coupe, when i go to machine car wash at shell i car hear the metal dent on the car during the pressure blow dry part. That was 2014. Now i drive a german no such problem xD also have a japanese mitsibishi evo 2015, i hear the dent too just not as hard as the hyundai.
