Liquor kept for long time BETTER ?

Have some old liquor from parents:  Brandy and Whiskey.
Will they really be BETTER tasty with longer storage?
Me beer and wine drinker.

the longer the taste better. That is why XO is more pricy than VSOP.  XO makes me drunk easily though.
you should try sake as well.

No, you should drink ASAP once you open the bottle, and store it in the cold place, beware sunlights

i think the post means "non-opened" bottle from the parents.
I guess the parents wouldn't have the opened ones left for their son

not sure longer the better, but usually after few years, it's more smooth, and less alochol burning feeling when swallow. and good ones storing many years, come much stronger in the smell. and smell good
