Another good source of news about the Wuhan 2019-nCoV virus is businessinsider.com. That site and scmp.com are doing a good job with coverage. Also check theLancet.com.

So far there only death outside of China has been an Indian national who was working in Malaysia. He had had a Wutan contact. The death rate for the Wuhan virus is 2.2% as compared to SARS at 9.6%. It appears to be more contagious than SARS but far less deadly. The high contagion is because it can be transmitted for up to two weeks before the carrier may show symptoms.

So surprised people who hunt are so scared of this Virus but the sexual virus are more deadly and that did not stop people hunting. It's the same thing , all it takes is one bad john. I get it, it spreads more easily, so it's irresponsible for yourself and others. But when you hunt, you might get exposed to all the sexual disease and you back fuck your wife/girlfriend, isn't that irresponsible as well? Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone having symptoms should go out at all. But if someone carrying the virus with no symptoms go to MM then MM spread to others, others go to public places without knowing carrying the symptoms, we are all screwed. The best thing to do is probably everyone just stay at home. Well it's not happening, I went to airport yesterday, only saw 4 ppl wearing masks, everyone goes on their life as usual. If there's an outbreak in Canada, I think it's too late to stop it already. So enjoy your life, don't think how you will die and think how you live. Wash your hands often and love your loved ones. You never know how you will die, wether there is a virus or not. Just don't do stupid things, spend more time with family and friends and give more love to MMs

It is pity that your suggestion does not work for people who are widowers, alone in Toronto. They just keep on hunting without the fear of spreading VD and Wuhan virus. I laugh with clause : “nothing venture, nothing gain. Gain what? VD and Wuhan virus? haha.

If you read www.scmp.com you can get the most complete news in one place on the corona virus. Things are still serious but there appears to be light at the end of this tunnel.
1. It appears that the start of the official announced cases may have been a few weeks later than the real start of the epidemic. That means many of the "first cases" were too far advanced without treatment to save.
2. 2 generic Anti-HIV drugs were tried in China  to lessen symptoms with some success. A Thai doctor added generic Tamiflu to the mix with perhaps even more success. A drug from Gilead Pharma may also lessen symptoms.
3. We should be able to make a vaccine but the best case scenario for that would be availability next fall if there is recurrence of the virus.
4. The reason it is so contagious is that it appears that victims can be asymptomatic for 2 weeks when they are capable of spreading the virus. The death rate overall is about 2% so most victims can live long enough to infect others. SARS had a death rate of about 9%.
5. It appears that the death rate can be reduced with prompt treatment and it seems that the contagion rate can be reduced by a quarantine for of about 2 weeks for people who test positive. The accuracy of the tests has already been improved.
6. The best way to protect yourself is by hand washing and not touching your face.
7.A quadrivalent cell based flu shot offers some protection from 2 types of type A flu and 2 types of type B flu. I think it appears more likely that more people in North America will die this year from flu than from corona virus.
