2016 SCOTTISH OPEN
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtqSCTzfRZo
The above video is the last frame of the championship which was won by Marco Fu of Hong Kong. It was NOT a lucky win because MF was 3 frames down when the 1st Session got underway. He came back to level it at 4 each at the end of the session.
MF's competitor for the title was none other than the most recent UK Open Champion - John Higgins. (MF was a little unlucky when he lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan, otherwise even the UK Open will be between MF and JH.)
In the 2nd Session, MF basically won all the remaining frames.
From the above link, you can go to all first 8 frames of the 1st Session; of course the other Frames as well.
There was a VERY tactical game in Frame 10 or 11 with both sides playing defensive snooker which lasted close to 40'.
My observation of MF's play:
He was much more consistent in his potting and positioning. Stayed calm even when three Frames down and won a well-deserved championship.
This win will put MF in #3 in world-wide ranking!
MF turned pro may be over 10 years ago. Initially, he was just so-so and sought advice/coaching from an UK player (I forgot the name) who was the first World Championship winner after winning the World Amateur Championship.
