The hardest part is getting past reception :).. you have to fill out forms and stuff. Once you finish, you just wait to see a public health nurse. They don't pass any judgement, and are actually quite pleasant to talk to so relax and just go, your health is more important. In fact, they are actually very informative and generally just want you to give you health advice.
Just book an appointment. You don't even have to have your real name. No health card or id etc...
It is a quick test, usually takes about 1/2. Most of which they are talking to you about the test and asking you a few questions.
2. Its free.
3. The test only works for period and activities prior to 3 months. So, e.g. if you think something is weird in your last visit last week, it won't show up. You'd have to wait for 3 months before there is any results that may show up. This is because 90% of the tests out there are kits that test if you have STD antibodies in your system. That takes about 3 months to develop in your system.
Just got mine test today waiting for the result.
The doctor laughed at me saying I worried too much, sti is extremely extremely rare for bbbj, in her 30 years of career she has seen only 2 cases, and both are consider high risk like gay/bi and drug users.
